Research Assistant (AI/Software Engineer)

  • Used Python to build a pipeline which ingests image data and performs multi-modal data synchronization, instance segmentation, object detection, and classification using SAM2 and Detectron2 models.
  • Conducted performance evaluation and experimentation to achieve a 7x faster execution time for geospatial data extraction.
  • Presented technical digital twin research to interdisciplinary stakeholders at the 2024 IEEE SMC conference in Malaysia.
  • Trained a deep learning model to classify images with over 92% accuracy, using a training dataset of over 1M images.
  • Created Origin-Destination matrices, based on almost 500k data points, to support geospatial analysis of population flow
